Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.

Last updated: 1 April 2026

What we collect

When you donate we collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address and, if you want an 80G certificate, your PAN number. When you volunteer or write to us we collect the details you type into that form. Nothing else.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking password. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay on their own secure systems. We only receive a payment reference telling us the payment succeeded.

Why we collect it

  • To issue your donation receipt and 80G certificate
  • To send you updates and proof of how your donation was used
  • To meet our legal and audit obligations as a registered organisation
  • To contact you about a volunteer application you submitted

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with Razorpay for processing your payment, with our auditors and with government authorities where the law requires it. That is the full list.

Anonymous donations

If you tick the anonymous option while donating, your name will not appear anywhere on this website. We still hold your details internally because tax law requires us to, but no visitor will see them.

How long we keep it

Donation records are kept for at least eight years, as required under Indian tax law. Volunteer applications and contact messages are kept for three years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Razorpay may set cookies of its own during the payment process, governed by their privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep. Write to us from the contact page and we will act on it within thirty days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be emailed to donors on our list.
