About EkagrahSeva Foundation

We are a small organisation that believes in doing a few things properly.

Who we are

Ekagrah means single-minded focus

That is the promise in our name. We do not chase every problem. We pick the ones we can actually solve for the families in front of us, and we stay with them until something has genuinely changed.

Ekagrah Seva Foundation was started by a group of people who kept meeting the same children at the same traffic signals and decided that giving them ten rupees was not help. Today we run education, nutrition, healthcare and livelihood programmes, and almost all of our funding comes from ordinary people giving what they can.

We are deliberately transparent. Our accounts are audited, our reports are public, and for every donation we upload photographs of what it paid for. You never have to wonder where your money went.

What guides us

Four things we refuse to compromise on

Honesty first

Every rupee is recorded. Our annual reports and audited accounts are public.

Small and deep

We would rather change fifty lives completely than touch five thousand briefly.

Dignity always

The families we work with are partners, not beneficiaries in a photograph.

Show the proof

For every donation we upload photographs of the work it paid for.

Our journey

How we got here

From a handful of volunteers to a community driven movement creating real impact.

Every milestone here marks a point where we could have stayed the size we were and chose not to - not because bigger is automatically better, but because the need in front of us kept growing and we were not willing to look away from it.

Our Milestones
The beginning
2012The beginning

A handful of volunteers started teaching children in a single community after work hours.

Growing roots
2014Growing roots

The evening classes became a proper learning centre with meals, books and regular attendance.

Health and nutrition
2016Health and nutrition

We added medical camps and a daily meal programme after seeing how often hunger kept children away.
